2. Issues on the bus Discussion ensued about the behavior problems on the bus. Patti told the members that a request has been made to meet with the contractor and the bus driver to go over reasonable expectations for the bus driver’s responsibilities. Earlier requests to have a video camera and to change the bus driver with another bus driver of a different route were not granted. There has been no further issues since the suspension of students off the bus. A question was asked if parents could be bus monitors and Patti would contact student transportation to find out if this is possible. A memo had been sent home stating that physical acts will not be tolerated on the bus and Patti had gone around to all the classrooms to remind all students of proper bus behavior.
3. Extra-curricular activities Brenda Bishop read a letter from a parent which outlined concerns about the lack of extra curricular activities at Acreman Elementary. This included after school and lunch time activities. Patti would see which parents had signed up for this type of volunteering at the school and look into the lunch time sports.
